Spirit of the Horse 2008
Return to Freedom and the ASPCA are excited to announce the 2008 Spirit of the Horse, an annual benefit designed to raise funds and awareness for Return to Freedom’s 300 acre wild horse sanctuary. Held each fall, the benefit is a magical evening that truly celebrates the 'spirit of the horse'. Click here to view/print the event flyer.
Spirit of the Horse was created in 2005 as an upscale festival that includes beautiful equestrian and artistic performances, gourmet food, wine tasting, silent auction, vendors, and activities for children. This year the eventwill celebrate some of the diverse and rich cultures that are deeply connected to the horse, with each culture being honored and celebrated through décor, activities, cultural food tastings, performances and - of course - equines.
Village Modern Foods, a Santa Barbara catering company specializing in all local, all organic gourmet food, will provide three distinct cultural food tastings for guests. Their delectable dishes will be complimented by a wine tasting provided by Wild Horse Winery.
Attendees who want the VIP treatment can purchase a table of 10 and be seated in semi-private, exquisite Arabian suites with a served meal, private wine tasting, exclusive gift bags and more.
For our young guests, there will be plenty to do including traditional Native American dancing and storytelling, beautiful horses to see, exciting performances to watch and much more.
Tickets are on sale now to this unforgettable event! All proceeds benefit Return to Freedom and will be used to care for over 200 wild horses and burros that reside at our sanctuary.
