Horses Needing Homes

Although Return to Freedom does not maintain a formal adoption program, due to the constant need to find safe, permanent homes for some of the horses that cross our path, we do place horses through a strict and formal application process.

We are looking for individuals who have horse experience and resources appropriate to provide top level, long term care. We take not only horse skills into serious consideration but also the environment and daily management that the horse or horses will be exposed to.

We expect and hope that all placements will be permanent and therefore these horses are not available for sale or resale, but remain protected by the sanctuary. We strive to place bonded horses together and no horse will be placed where he/she will live without other equine companions.
