Volunteer

"A person who enters into service of their own free will."

Volunteer

Return to Freedom welcomes volunteers to assist in a variety of projects and responsibilities. Depending on your interests, you can become involved with hands-on projects here at the Sanctuary, or offer other services from your location

Hands-On Projects

There's always something to do at the American Wild Horse Sanctuary. So come and bring your enthusiasm and team spirit! Whether you're here for a day or month, we can use your talent and energy for projects such as:

  • Construction and carpentry
  • Painting
  • Landscaping and gardening
  • Ranch maintenance
  • Equine care
  • Restoration

And check our calendar to schedule a visit during a Volunteer Work Weekend!

Other Services

In addition to the projects here at the Sanctuary , we also have a dire need for grant writers and people who have experience in fund raising. Often these services can be provided from any location.

How To Apply as a Volunteer

If you have an interest in assisting Return to Freedom with your experience and insights, please fill out the Preliminary Volunteer Application Form and just mail it or fax it us. Shortly after we receive your completed application, we will contact you. And please be sure to let us know how we can help you with accommodations during your visit.

Thank you. We look forward to hearing from you.
