LOMPOC, Calif. – A four-year-old girl diagnosed with a genetic disorder had her wish granted on Friday.

Kynlee Thomas and her family traveled from Stillwater, Oklahoma to make her wish come true to meet Spirit.

Spirit is the horse that inspired the design of a popular children’s movie. The horse lives at Return To Freedom in Lompoc, which is a national nonprofit for wild horses.

Kynlee’s father says the visit to the ranch is a nice break from hospital visits and doctor’s appointments.

“It makes you feel free, just so good,” said Darrell Thomas. “In the hospital, it’s just monotonous. It’s kind of like bad news over and over and over again, then finally you get a relief and get to come out here and have fun. I mean, it makes you speechless.”

Kynlee wanted to meet Spirit because it’s her favorite show and she watches it every day.
