Hay is the not-so-secret word: Become a sponsor today!

Burros are hay-vacuums, too!

Dear Friends,

It’s impossible to overstate the importance of hay to a horse sanctuary. A horse needs to eat, and over 500 of them eat a lot, every day!

Although the hills are turning pretty and green from recent rains, this does not provide much in the way of food yet for the 143 horses and 27 burros at our Lompoc facility.

While any donation adds up, the more of our supporters who become regular Monthly Hay Sponsors, the more the sanctuary horses can count on those life-sustaining meals arriving right on time on the hay truck.

Right now, the need to join this hay team is urgent. We are behind schedule for these funds, and we need to raise $40,000 quickly to stay on track. It sounds like a lot, and it is, but we’ve done it before with your help. Will you please become a hay sponsor?

Sponsor Hay for RTF Horses

There are several levels of sponsorship: $22 (bale), $44, $66, $440 (one ton or 20 bales of hay), $11,880 (one truckload of hay – 540 bales).

Chipping in for hay is an important way for our supporters to be involved in the sanctuary and the horses’ lives on a daily basis. Some other important needs occur from time to time, but the need for good, nourishing hay never ends.

If you’ve been wishing you could help a wild horse, today is the day. Your donation has a vital and direct impact on the more than 500 lives at our sanctuaries and thousands of wild horses and burros on the range.

Thank you for all you do to help RTF provide a safe and peaceful life for the horses at our sanctuaries, and to be a strong voice for their “cousins” still running free.

We cannot do this without you.

With gratitude,

Neda DeMayo and of all of us at RTF
