Much appreciation for those who support and believe in us!
America’s Wild Horses are fighting their last stand. Competition for our natural resources continues to threaten our wilderness areas and wildlife species. These horses are interwoven into the very fabric of what is America. What threatens them threatens us all. I support the pioneering and innovative efforts of Return to Freedom and I urge you to do the same.
Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary was chosen as permanent home for Spirit, the Kiger mustang stallion who served as muse for the DreamWorks animated film “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron”
The Government spends over 60 million dollars of American taxpayers’ hard-earned money each year to round up wild horses and remove them from public lands owned by all Americans. Sadly, it’s left to people like you who care enough to help the horses. Wild horses can’t lobby Congress or speak for themselves. Please join us in caring for them by supporting Return to Freedom.
Return to Freedom’s pioneering model represents a breakthrough in the humane and effective management of wild horses, allowing them to express the social organization and behaviors common to the species, without fear of uncontrolled reproduction. The problem isn’t scientific, it’s political and cultural. There is an attitude in the agency to do nothing unless a silver bullet is available.
Some people love an ocean view. I love to look out and see a Cheyenne Indian Pony. The wild horses that Ms. DeMayo is committed to preserving are indeed our country’s own horse and national treasures. I write to you in support of Return to Freedom and urge you to help us in our efforts to preserve wild horses and educate the public about this most significant equine treasure.
