BLM Nevada to hold hearing on helicopter use in wild horse management

The Bureau of Land will hold its annual statewide public hearing on the use of helicopters and other aircraft in the management of wild horses and burros on from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Lander County Courthouse, located at 50 NV-305in Battle Mountain, Nev.

Written comments may be mailed to the BLM Battle Mountain District Office, attention: Jess Harvey, 50 Bastian Road, Battle Mountain, NV 89820 by July 2.

Since 1976, BLM has captured and removed more than 161,000 wild horses and burros from public lands in Nevada.
