The October-November issue of Cowgirl magazine feature a terrific story by Wendy Wilkinson about actress and animal advocate Wendie Malik, who is not only a friend of Return to Freedom and supporter of wild horses but who adopted a pair of RTF horses, Stuart and Bo.

In the profile, Wendie recalls how she met Stuart during a visit to RTF’s American Wild Horse Sanctuary:

“I went into one of the pastures, and felt breath on my back and looked into the most gentle eyes I’ve even seen. This was Stuart. Big, black and beautiful, I fell in love with him immediately and we hung out for hours,” she says. From the Chalice herd, Stuart invited Malick into that world and he now lives with her and her husband. “We’ve been riding Stuart since we adopted him, he’s gentle, very engaging, and wants to please you.”

Wendie is also working on a film project about none other than Wild Horse Annie.
