Holiday Party scaled back due to rain, mud

/ Featured

Dear Friends,

Hosting the annual Holiday Party at our Lompoc headquarters is always among the highlights of our year. Unfortunately, recent rains have turned the ranch’s clay soil into thick, sticky muck. Plus, there’s a 70% chance of more rain during the day on Saturday, Dec. 10.

We will still be here from 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, rain or shine. If you’re a ticket-holder for Saturday’s Holiday Party or an RTF volunteer and want to do some holiday shopping for a variety of great items and share beverages and finger food in our event barn, you’re welcome to join us. This will be a small, casual get-together.

Please note: The horses are pretty muddy right now! We will not be able to conduct as tours as planned because our ranch team will be working hard to get the horses and burros fed.

If you have already purchased tickets to the Holiday Party or you’re a volunteer, please let us know if you will be attending on Saturday by calling (805) 737-9246 during business hours. Ticket-holders who choose not to come can put their ticket’s value toward a future program or event.

Thank you for your understanding and, as always, for making it possible to provide a safe, loving home for more than 450 rescued wild horses and burros.
