Please join us from noon-1 p.m. Pacific on Aug. 6 on Zoom for “Crafting Wild Horse Policy and Upholding the Law,” part of our Informed Advocacy Webinar Series!
This webinar that will provide context for the steady way Return to Freedom works to push for humane and thoughtful management of wild horses and burros on our public lands.
Our guest speakers will be:
- Molly L. Wiltshire, partner ArentFox Schiff LLP, will talk to us about litigation: When is it necessary? Why don’t we litigate everything? She will also clarify the Wyoming Checkerboard lands situation, where public and private lands are close together, alternating every mile. What happens to wild horses there?
- Chris Heyde and Lale Morrison of Blue Marble Strategy will tell us about the budget process in DC: How are budgets set, and who controls the process? How is RTF involved? Why is such a high level of funding needed for wild horse and burro management?
Effective advocacy requires deep knowledge of systems that may seem frustrating, and it also requires incredible patience. Our Informed Advocacy series will cover information required to actually make good change.
Cost to participate is $25 — with all proceeds going toward our ongoing legal battle for Wyoming’s wild herds
If you can’t make it but would like to help support our grassroots advocacy, Capitol Hill lobbying and selective litigation efforts in support of wild horses and burros and in opposition to horse slaughter, please make a donation to our Wild Horse Defense Fund.
