Dear Friends,
D
Since Spirit became a resident at RTF’s Lompoc, Calif., headquarters sanctuary in 2003, the handsome, mischievous Kiger mustang stallion has remained a favorite of visitors of all ages, including young viewers of DreamWorks Animation’s Netflix spin-off series, “Spirit: Riding Free.”
In addition to Spirit, there are more than 450 wild horses and 55 burros displaced by government roundups living at our sanctuary that aren’t household names (yet!). We hope that you’ll consider bidding on auction items to fund their feed, vet care
Proceeds from the auction will also support RTF’s advocacy work on behalf of wild horses and burros on the range and in government holding corrals and pastures.
When the silent auction relaunches tomorrow, you’ll be able to bid on items like:
–A four-night stay at a breathtaking Wyoming lodge on the Snake River
— Meet-and-Greet with Spirit
–New “Spirit Riding Free” gift basket
–Specialized tours at RTF’s American Wild Horse Sanctuary and much more
Highlights include:
— Video messages from friends of Spirit, including insights from animation director, of DreamWorks Animation’s Oscar-nominated 2002 film, “Spirit: Stallion of The Cimarron” Lorna Cook and screenwriter John Fusco –Footage of Spirit
–Downloadable Spirit coloring pagesAward-winning actress Rosario Dawson visiting Spirit for his birthday
–Special Spirit merchandise
Thank you for your continued support.
The RTF Team
