RTF to share wild horse work with horse lovers at Hampton Classic

/ In The News, News, Programs

We’re pleased to announce that Return to Freedom will be returning to Horse Welfare and Animal Adoption Day at The Hampton Classic as part of the EQUUS Foundation Alliance!

We appreciate the opportunity to speak with horse lovers about our advocacy and sanctuary work on behalf of wild horses and burros and ongoing efforts to end horse slaughter.

One of the largest horse shows in the United States and a top destination for horse people, The Hampton Classic is held in Bridgehampton, N.Y. This year’s event runs Aug. 24-31.

Our deputy executive director, Alexandra Jackson, will be on hand from 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. at the Grand Prix Ring for at Horse Welfare and Animal Adoption Day.

Presented by the foundation and sponsored by Georgina Bloomberg, Adoption Day includes horse rescue organizations as well as dog and cat shelters. It allows participating organizations to raise awareness — and for dozens of animals to find new homes each year.

The EQUUS Foundation is dedicated to protecting America’s horses and strengthening the bond between people and horses. Its alliance with national nonprofit organizations like RTF offers a way to address areas of interest to the equine community.

We’re always happy to work with the foundation and are grateful for its recognition of our nearly three decades of work on wild horse and horse slaughter issues!
