Return to Freedom’s educational programs are designed to reconnect visitors to nature and, often for the first time, the world of wild horses and the challenges they face. This summer’s tour season is off to a great start, with 88 visitors for tours, 59 for Youth and Family Days, and 45 for photo safaris / herd immersion. Photography and natural horsemanship clinics attracted 57 people.

While our July and August tours and Family Day events are already full, there are still lots of opportunities to visit, including photo safaris at our 300-acre Lompoc headquarters sanctuary and 2,000-San Luis Obispo satellite, as well as workshops by Reiki master Cindy Rackley, who brings with her more than three decades in the healing arts. These include an animal communications class / wild horses walk, introduction to energy medicine, and Reiki Levels I and II certification classes.
